Why we chose this prompt: A first-person shooter needs wall-sliding movement, raycast hits, enemies that chase and shoot, and door and keycard state all working at once. Ruling out pointer lock so it runs in a sandboxed frame adds a constraint that most reference code ignores.
Build a Doom style first-person shooter in a single enclosed level. WASD moves and the arrow keys turn; do not rely on pointer lock. Shoot enemies that hunt the player through the maze, pick up health and ammo, and find the exit to win. Show health, ammo and kills, with a game over when health hits zero.
